Mary Beth Porter
Instructor: Novice Level, Ballet, Jazz, Tap
Mary Beth was born and raised in North Dakota and has been dancing in the Fargo/Moorhead area since the age of 5. She has studied many different styles of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and musical theater. While she enjoys them all, she especially loves ballet/pointe, jazz and tap.
Mary Beth is a principal dancer in the FMBallet company this season. This is her fourth year as a member of the company and has danced in many FMBallet productions beginning at a young age. Some key roles she has performed include: The Apprentice in Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Classic Nutcracker, Swanhilda in Coppelia and Peter Pan in Peter Pan.
After training for the last 14 years, Mary Beth was excited to also teach dance, as it has long been a dream of hers. She adores working with children and hopes to continue sharing her love of dance with her students at Gaspers School of Dance.
